We love a neighborhood with personality. Fisher Park is one such place; sort of the cheers bar of neighborhoods. Neighbors know each other. They gather in back yards; houses; parks; places to eat like Fishers Grill and The Corner Slice. There is at least one Free Little Library.

The above photo at North Park Drive features a sure sign of personality, “Poison Ivy.” Just know that if you or your pet are walking around here, you are traipsing in poison ivy. While you are there, dodge the poison ivy and head a few steps down the hill and read the Genesis Monument.

Fisher Park was established in 1902 and this neighborhood continues to be desirable place to live 124 years later. Let us all be part of adding a little personality to our respective neighborhoods. By the way, poison ivy is most potent from April- September; so, we’ve got at least a month to wear closed toe shoes and socks when near this little green plant packed with urushiol!
