Center United Methodist Church is located at 6412 Lake Brandt Road. In walking around the building, we found a cornerstone that has inscribed, “organized prior to 1832; erected 1976.” The building is one of those with several wings, with this photo making it appear deceptively small.

We learned that this is a congregation with a sense of humor. Seen recently, on the marquee outside: ” F-E-A-R. Forget everything and run. or, Face everything and rise.”

Regarding Sunday services, 9am is Praise Team Time and 10 am is worship with children’s church. Also, there are plenty of opportunities to gather other than the Sunday service. The last week in July, they held Vacation Bible School. According to their Facebook page, the adults held a Beer and Hymns at the Summerfield Beverage Company. Alcohol was optional; hymns and fellowship available for all– including children. If you are looking for a Jesus-centered, Christian community in northwest Greensboro, Center UMC might just provide the spiritual fellowship you are seeking.
