Mr. Michael Prioleau

At the end of the month, Michael Prioleau is retiring from Guilford County Schools. He has served as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) coordinator at the Middle College at the University of North Carolina Greensboro for the past 12 years. In that position, he made sure students received relevant CTE credentials. He also coordinated the health and life sciences CTE programs for students from CPR training to participation in rigorous programs like North Carolina Nurse Aide Certification and North Carolina Pharmacy Technician Certification. He served as a liaison with community, bringing in career experts to talk to students. He will be missed.

Before his GCS years, he was a member of the 82nd Airborne– Platoon Leader and Executive Officer. Also, he earned a BS in accounting and MS in technology education from NC A&T State University. When asked about a career highlight, he shared the following memory: Visiting the stadium in East Berlin where Jesse Owens won his gold medals in the 1938 Olympics. If you see Mr Prioleau, be sure to thank him for all of his years as a public servant in the military as well as in public education. As Mr. Prioleau hails from Washington, D.C. he loves talking about all sports teams in the D.C. area, especially the Washington Commanders.

Happy Tuesday!
