Yesterday was a glorious to shop the book sale at St. Francis Episcopal Church at 3506 Lawndale Drive. Today will be even better as all books are half price with no exceptions. The church has held a spring book sale for over six decades. Weather permitting, they have books available outside under pop-up canopies. However, the bulk of the offerings are inside the book garage.

One of the nicest aspects of this book sale is how well curated and organized the books are. They are shelved by genre (e.g., fiction, historical, children’s, thriller/mystery, etc.) and within genre, by author. This organization makes it easy to shop the sale armed with a wish list. Money from the sale allows the church to do some pretty fabulous outreach work for the Greensboro community.

The sale is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
