In 1996 in Greensboro, North Carolina, above ground telephone and telecommunication wires are still a big part of our infrastructure. Sometimes telecom wires and electrical lines are found on the same poles. We’re not sure what was going on yesterday early evening at this section of West Market Street, where Friendly Avenue intersects at Sheetz. We were driving from High Point to Greensboro, using Gallimore Dairy Road, near the back side of the airport and very near the large, white, cylindrical jet-fuel storage tanks.
We love driving around and seeing the work being done in the city. It also makes us think about things like how much a truck needs to weigh , including the counter balance and outriggers to accommodate a bucket or “cherry picker.” We wonder who is brave enough to go up in one of these devices. If it is you, THANK YOU for your service!
On another note, we love that one little cloud in an otherwise cloudless chunk of sky!
Happy Tuesday.
