219 S. Elm St.

219 South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro has housed many businesses. Currently, Dear Dad’s has opened up in the space. It replaced Lao Restaurant & Bar, which replaced Crafted– the Art of the Taco, which relocated across the street to a bigger space. As seen in the above photo, the space is nicely decorated and skall. A hostess greets customers and when space is available, walks town a long hallway which opens up into the seating area.

Dear Dad’s has a robust social media presence which keeps the restaurants on everyone’s minds. They frequently have a waiting list. Tiny restaurants are easier to staff and can feel more intimate for patrons. In addition to tables for 2 and 4, they have a bar area for singles. The Battleground location has created a significant amount of outdoor space. We’re wondering if the downtown location will be able to do the same. We especially love their breakfasts and the wait staff seems happy and to work well together, adding to the overall positive experinence

Happy Wednesday!
