Charity (Independent) Baptist Church, located at 4079 North Battleground Avenue, looks almost otherworldly set back from Highway 220 on this 8 acre lot. It is as if the thin steeple is a satellite transmitting to the heavens. Perhaps in a way it is. The photo was taken at 5:55 p.m. last night and it was almost completely dark. The extended exposure of night mode revealed the dark blues of twilight.

According to their website, the first Charity Baptist was established in 1974 in Shelby, NC (see here). Likely, the Greensboro church is an off-shoot of the the other church. The church meeting times are: 9:00a.m. Sunday School, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship services, and Wednesday prayer meeting at 7:00 p.m.
