The LEGO store at Friendly Center has been open since July, barely 6 months and it is already well established in Greensboro. From the looks of the December crowds, we’re guessing January was very, very good to them. Almost everyone walking between Ben and Jerry’s and Harris Teeter had a bright yellow, prominently-labeled LEGO bag.
Greensboro is one of about six LEGO stores in North Carolina. We know of one in Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, and Concord. They have everything from creative, themed kits– Harry Potter, botanicals, Star Wars, typewriters, and more– to the ability to buy loose bricks by the box. It is nice to have “toys” that foster creativity and patience. Might just be a good Saturday project.
Here’s to a great weekend.
