Happy New Year 2026!

On January 1st, the City Daily Photo community encourages members to share their best photo from the previous year. Hands down, this photo of Sam LeBlanc is our choice for 2025. Thanks to Sam and his tech savvy skills, we were able to transfer Greensboro Daily Photo from Typepad to WordPress without missing a day! We had a month from Typepad’s announcement that it was going dark to make the transition and to save everything. Sam held our hand the whole way.

We met Sam thanks through his wife, Journalist Extraordinaire Sayaka Matsuoka, whom we met when she was working at Triad City Beat. Making friends like this dynamic duo through GDP is one of the greatest joys of maintaining our community website. Tomorrow starts Year 18 of daily photos. We’re anxious to see what 2026 brings for Greensboro.
