Happy New Year’s Eve

Today is the last day of 2025. Greensboro has just completed its 217th year as a city. This photo, heading west on Bryan Boulevard reminds us that we are leaving the old year and heading toward 2026. For those who celebrate, today is the 6th day of Kwanzaa.

The sixth day is Kuumba, which means Creativity. The goal is to do everything possible to make a difference and leave the community in better condition than what was inherited. The implication is to invest in the future. If you want to participate in today’s Kwanzaa event. It, like the others is being held at St. Stephen UCC, located at 1000 Gorrell Street. Events start at 3:00 p.m.

There is not an all-community, New Year’s Eve event in Greensboro; however, here is the WXII list of some local happenings. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you dress for the holiday and celebrate it at home.
