Today is our last opportunity to get out and buy food items and gifts from our local farmers, small-batch cooks, and crafters. The above photo is from the Corner Market on West Market Street last weekend. This farmers market has a craft corner for kids, a tradition that has continues from the early days of the market, when it was at the corner of Elam and Walker.
Our local farmers markets are all about building community. Today, let’s all go out and buy some bread and soup and whatever food and crafts are available. Last week, KW Edible Landscaping Nursery, at The Corner Market, had fresh cut, wild harvested Christmas trees as part of their Sustainable Farm Management Plan. They may still have trees today. Our plans are to visit the big three– Yanceyville, West Market Street, and Sandy Ridge. See you there.
Happy Saturday!
