All is calm and all is bright in Center City Park and downtown Greensboro on the day before Hanukkah starts and the next-to-last weekend before Christmas. This photo was taken at the Festival of Lights, likely the busiest night of the year downtown. Look at the view the people have in the apartments facing the park. The residents have a front row seat to everything that takes place in the park.

The Lincoln Financial Group building is positioned squarely in the top center of this photo. As we look at this photo, we’re remembering that many years there are red and green lights on the building. Also, we’re not seeing a time in this photo. Now, we’re wondering if the time is still displayed on the building. Now, time is available on literally every device we own. However, back in the day before all of these personal devices, you either had a watch or relied on public displays of the time.
