You know you are at a Christmas tree venue when you see a giant Santa. Sunnyside Farms of Ashe County brings Christmas trees out of the mountains to Guilford County at the end of every November. Locally, Sunnyside Farms is owned by the Woyahn family, and they have bringing fraizer firs to the area for 24 years. The above tree market is set up in Summerfield in front of the Greensboro Performing Arts building at 7200 Summerfield Road, on the same property is the Jumping Bean Coffee Shop.
The Wagoner family is another name is local Christmas tree shopping. Their pop up markets are in several locations around town. Don’t forget that today at 5:30 pm is the Festival of Lights in downtown Greensboro (map here), and the Holiday Tree Lighting in Center City Park happens at 6:56 pm. The holiday parade is tomorrow at noon. Let the season begin!
