We met up with Dafne Sanchez this past weekend at Art and Sole stop #17 at Double Oaks at 204 North Mendenhall Street. On this glorious Saturday, Dafne was set up with her watercolor and pottery on the porch in front of the coffee shop on the ground floor. Dafne’s artwork is very connected to nature, especially to the human body. She has been drawing and painting since childhood.
Dafne is a Guilford College graduate where she majored in German and minored in art. Now, she works as an administrative support associate in the UNCG Global Engagement Office. Her talents of being multilingual, organized, creative, and working well with others make her a good fit for the position where she interacts with people in many departments across campus. Currently, she is helping with the 20 international Fulbright teachers, from 18 different countries, who are on campus this month.
Hopefully Dafne will find time to continue creating. We will follow her career with great interest.
