This weekend in Greensboro was a dream for art lovers. From First Friday downtown, to Art & Sole in the Westerwood neighborhood to Art Stock throughout the county to Art in the Arboretum, there were so many opportunities to interact with artists and to purchase art. In Art & Sole, 25 homes, studios, and the Double Oaks opened their Westerwood spaces, inviting people into spaces that are usually closed to the public.

Some artists had virtually their entire downstairs filled with art for sale. Such was the case with the above artist. These inter-general events had something for everyone. Even the young person in the above photo was captivated by the art, noticing immediately the “BE NICE OR LEAVE MAT! We can assure you, he was nice! The the sunny, fall weather was perfect and so conducive to walking. In Greensboro, it is so easy to fill one’s house with high-quality, original art that won’t break the bank.
