The butterfly house opened in 2022 and the first year, seven species, including the monarch butterfly,  were introduced. Last year, nine additional species were introduced. The center will be open until September. If you want to go, be sure to wear a hat for the parts of the science center that are outdoors. Plan to do plenty of walking. However, if you have mobility issues, you can borrow a wheelchair for the duration of your visit. This little gem on Lawndale Avenue is well worth being a summer tradition.
