The above photo was taken from the Cultural Arts Center on Davie Street. The view, spanning Center City Park, features Center Pointe Apartments at 201 North Elm Street. The apartments in this 10-story building have floor to ceiling windows. Center Point was built in 2009, soon to be 24 years ago. The building looks so charming in the early evening when it isn’t completely dark, yet apartment lights are starting to get turned on. You can still see the clouds. It feels like a scene out of Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “Rear Window.”  If you come downtown tonight for First Friday and are at the Cultural Arts Center, be sure to turn around and admire this beautiful view.
