We were downtown on Tuesday afternoon for a stroll and an eye appointment and this balloon was rolling around South Elm Street at Spring Garden. It was as if the balloon had weights in it as it rolled along the street. Flavianos is located at 114 N. Elm Street; Los Chicos is at 200 S. Elm Street; Crafted is at 220 S. Elm Street. This balloon was pretty far from its originating location. What a creative way to advertise. You should have seen us chasing after it and trying to grab a photo of it with the words “Taco Tuesday” upright. Do you remember the 1957 movie, “The Red Balloon”?  A young follows a red balloon along the streets of Paris. We felt a little like Pascal chasing that balloon around. If only a cluster of pink helium balloons had gathered around us and taken us on a ride high above Greensboro.

Did anyone else see this balloon or one like it? By the way, the advertising was effective. It did make us crave Mexican food. Happy Thursday!
