Today, we’re featuring another monument in Monument Row at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park. The person is Kerennappuch Norman Turner. Ms. Turner received word that her son had been badly wounded in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. She rode by horseback all the way from Maryland and nursed her son back to health. A mother’s love and committed care made a difference and saved a soldier. Here is what the inscription reads, at the base of the statue:
