Fall Fun at Lake Brandt

Lake Brandt is one of three Greensboro Lakes. It is named for Leon Brandt who was mayor of Greensboro at the beginning of the 20th century. At  816-acres, it is the second largest of our municipal reservoirs. It was built in 1925, making it Greensboro’s oldest lake.*. If you go there on the weekends, you will see it in full use. Also, the trails around it are lovely this time of year. It is also a lovely place to go bird watching, especially if you can beat the boaters.

Today’s photo was taken on Saturday when the weather was absolutely beautiful, the quintessential, fall day.
