Protest at the Home of the Postmaster General

Irving Park, one of Greensboro’s oldest and most established neighborhoods, is not accustomed to seeing protests. Yesterday, at 2:00 pm, a peaceful protest was held there at the home of the Postmaster General of the United States, Louis DeJoy. A few hundred people peacefully assembled, all wearing masks, and many holding up signs, expressing concerns about the changes Mr. DeJoy is making to the organization. Mr. DeJoy’s position is that he is making the postal service more efficient and fiscally sound.

It is interesting to know that someone of such national significance lives right here in Greensboro. It is hard to believe that three years have passed already since President Trump visited Mr. DeJoy and his wife, Aldona Wos in 2017 (see here).
