Face-To-Face School Has Concluded For This Academic Year

Yesterday, Governor Cooper informed us that school will not resume face-to-face in North Carolina this year. Students will continue with online learning. The above photo features the busses at Grimsley High School, just west of downtown Greensboro. The busses sit there in the parking lot, silent for the rest of the school year.

Greensboro, High Point, and Guilford County all have very dedicated teachers who are delivering lessons online. Regardless of what decisions get made about grading, hopefully students are intrinsically motivated and will want to have the opportunity to continue to learn and grow. Everyone is new at teaching, learning, and surviving a pandemic. Let’s hope that we flatten the curve in Greensboro (and beyond) and that our residents, especially students, will thrive. Happy Saturday! Does it feel like the weekend?
