Baseball season is upon us! The above photo shows the dugout of the UNCG Spartans at their game yesterday against the UNC Charlotte Diamond Niners. The final results were UNCG, six, and UNC Charlotte, four. Those results have UNCG on a six game winning streak. If you are interested in seeing some UNCG baseball, they have a three game series at home against App State. The series begins on Friday at 4pm, the UNCG stadium is really nice, and, so far when we have gone, the entrance has been free.

There are so many options to see good baseball in Greensboro, from the minor league Grasshoppers to the local AAU teams to Little League to all of the many local college and university teams. Baseball can be such a community-building sport. If you haven’t already, plan a few baseball outings. The Greensboro Grasshoppers have their first home game on April 9th.
