Blink and all of a sudden it is the fourth quarter of the year, winter is almost here, and it is cold. However, as seen in this recent photo, taken at the corner of Walker and Elam, fall is still holding on. If you are reading this post on Saturday morning before noon, hopefully you know that the Corner Market will be going strong. Since 2013, the organizers have worked hard to build community, nourishing both body and soul.
There is usually a nice variety of produce, meat and dairy, baked goods, and arts and crafts. On the day the above photo was taken, the Appalachian Brewing Company was making their rounds in their tan and green van, making sure that the stores on this corner were stocked with their specialty brews. Have a nice Saturday and consider getting out to one of our many local markets to make new friends and get some great local nourishment.
