Today’s photo is of a vinyl tarp that hangs at the corner of West Friendly Avenue and Davie Street. Even though the photo is color, at first glance, it appears to be black and white. This piece of visual art is very noticeable from the art gallery in the Davie Street Cultural Arts Center. We don’t know who the people are or if they are local. We’re thinking they are local, because the person in the center is wearing a Greensboro sweatshirt. The photos remind us of the Humans of New York Project; so, we’re dubbing it Humans of Greensboro. Is it a public art project?

As you can see, it was snowing the day we took the photo, so we didn’t linger for a long time outside. Yesterday, on GDP, we heard from Gina Hicks at VIVID who clarified that Mark Hewett revitalized 513 South Elm Street. We hate being wrong, but love it when readers provide us with information. Interaction with others really helps us feel like we are serving the community. There are days when it feels like only William Kendall, owner of Ottawa Daily Photo and daily commenter on GDP, is the only person in the world reading the blog.
