Once a month, Morehead United Methodist Church serves hotdogs on Saturday at lunchtime. The church, located on Horse Pen Creek Road near the Spears Y, has been having hot dog lunches for several years. They used to have this fundraiser every Saturday, but have now switched the event to once a month. The hotdogs are really good and, if memory serves us, they are only $1.50 each.

In the above photo, an enthusiastic church member was standing by the side of the road, in full hot dog regalia, to advertise the event at Morehead. He cheered and danced as people drove by and he greeted everyone who walked past him. Wonder if some of the local businesses would hire him to dress out to advertise for them. He does a great job and that would be a great way to raise money, too.
