Jeansboro is Wrangler’s initiative to celebrate the textile history of Greensboro. In the above photo, you see a city bus with an advertisement wrap of the art project found along Elm Street. The colorful parts of the bus represent the fiberglass jean statues that were painted by local artists, mostly high school students. The bus, spotted driving along Battleground Avenue, was wrapped as part of the second annual Jeansboro Day activities held this past October 19th. The event was held at the VF Corporation office on Elm Street.

It would be nice to know where the Jeansboro city bus is parked when not in use. It would be a great backdrop for local photographers. In the meantime, you’ll just have to capture a photo of the bus when it is stopped and when you are in the passenger seat. We don’t know if they rotate it through the city or if it always makes the Battleground run. Maybe it needs its own twitter feed where people can announce sightings. We really want to ride the mobile advertisement that represents a big part of Greensboro’s history. Happy Friday; honk if you love denim!
