Greensboro has had some beautiful sunsets this summer. The above photo was taken along Battleground Avenue last week. The street lights remind us of fireflies on those relaxed summer evenings. When the sunset is beautiful and the fireflies are flashing, time stands still in the south. Here’s to many more beautiful evenings this summer, and to our finding the time to appreciate them.
If you like beautiful nature shots, this weekend is the last one for the Ansel Adams photography exhibit at Reynolda House in Winston-Salem. Here is the link, in case you are looking for something to do today or tomorrow. Adams was masterful at contrast, capturing the range of black and white and the gray tones in between. Many events we share are free; the Adams exhibit at Reynolda House costs $14.
We are fortunate in Greensboro to have so many opportunities to see great art in our city as well as with in a 40 mile radius. We are lucky to have a lot of natural beauty, which we can enjoy for free. Happy Saturday!
