This Greensboro “quagmire” can be found on North Battleground at the next leg of the Urban Loop. The above swampy, wetlands that go from dry to wet, depending on the weather, are being altered so that the road can be built.
Quagmire can have a slightly muddy definition. In geography, it is a soft boggy area of land; it can also be ( literally or metaphorically) an awkwardly complex or hazardous situation. Let’s hope the above is not the latter and to be sure, it is the former. Monitoring the construction process of the Greensboro Urban Loop is interesting. We are trying to document how the road crew will make the land sufficiently solid to support a heavily traveled bypass. Today is ABC Wednesday and for our ABC S.T.E.A.M. Series, “Q” is for “quagmire.” Regardless of where you live, we challenge you to use the word “quagmire” today!
