Last week, we featured the historic marker for St. James AME Church in Oak Ridge and so this week, we decided to show you what the church actually looks like. It sits back from the road behind a large, brick new church. However, tucked behind the parking lot of the Oak Ridge First Baptist Church is this tiny gem of a church, The congregation dates back to the 1880’s. Behind this little Methodist church is a cemetery with graves from the early 1900’s. There is so much history in the Greensboro area and, as far as cities go, our community has done a good job of showcasing our past. Happy Sunday!
