It is Friday and the sun will set at a little after 8:30 p.m. You’ve got plenty of daylight this time of year to hang out with friends and family. Consider calling someone and making plans. If you are in middle school, likely, you have friends who are always ready to meet up for an adventure. The above young skateboarders were hanging out around Hamburger Square last month. Hamburger Square is located on South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro. The woman to the left appears to be texting friends who, hopefully, will be joining her soon.

Even alone, a stroll along Elm Street is sure to lift the spirits. There is just so much to do and see. So many of the business have proprietors or dedicated managers on site and, with a little effort on your part, they will recognize you by name. Happy Friday; happy weekend, dear readers.
