The public resting spot, Tradition Cornerstone,  is located at the corner of Smith and Prescott Streets on Greensboro’s Downtown Greenway.  The structure sits on a mound of clay that was added after the old gas station was removed. Boston artists Mags Harries and Lajos Heder created the structure. They are quite well known for these outdoor structures which encourage interaction from pedestrians. The landscaping for the venue is in and it appears to be about ready for use. There is a water fountain and solar trash cans on site. We’re anxious to learn more about the structure as we’re not sure what the writing on the roof says and to learn more about the structure. The ribbon cutting will be Saturday, May 10th. It will be nteresting to see how the structure will be used by the community. So far, there isn’t a bike rack or a bathroom on site.
