This is how Greensboro looked on Wednesday. It wasn’t very much snow, but enough to close everything down. Our community, especially the school system, errs on the side of caution when snow falls. Hopfeully, everyone was safe and had a little change to walk outside and notice how clean the air smells after a snow. There is a texture, density, and smell to the air just before a snow that, if one is attuned to it, is as accurate as the weatherperson.
As January winds down, it seems like is has been forever since New Years Day. Wonder what February will bring. And, as someone wrote on Facebook the other day, “Winter, your days are numbered!” In the meantime, we’re headed out to make some snow memories. This is really the first “significant” snow of the season for Greensboro.
