Elm Street is not only a great place to take pictures, it makes a great backdrop for photographing models. Above, we see a photographer using the art and handicraft shop, “Just Be”, as a backdrop for her pictures. This photo was taken at Hamburger Square, near the Elm-McGee parking lot where, beginning May 6th, the South Elm Urban Market will set up shop. The Urban Market will feature local produce, food products like eggs and cheese, and handmade items. Elm Street attracts businesses that are locally owned and have a hometown feel to them; therefore, this Sunday market is a perfect fit. Several Elm Street restaurants and shops are already open on Sunday. Likely, more will remain open if the Sunday market is as well attended as anticipated. Indie, etsy-like businesses seem to be the trend everywhere and Greensboro is no exception.
This photo captures so many of the details of downtown: the railroad tracks, the vintage brick buildings, the people, the topography, and the sign announcing that you are under video surveilance– to name a few. Happy Monday folks.
