True Vine Baptist Church is located across from the McIver Education Center at the Corner of Textile Drive at 1404 Summit Avenue. The ranch-house church is readily identifiable as a Christian institution by the cross nailed to the brick on the north side of the facility. The congregation is led by Pastor Jerry A. and First Lady Vanessa Allred. The congregation’s motto is, “We are family; we care, we share and work in love together” (see website). While in existence since 2000, True Vine has only been in the present location since they purchased the property in 2003.

Surrounded by this past week’s icy, crisp snow, the church has the illusion of being located in rural, peaceful silence when, in reality, it is located in a bustling area of East Greensboro not too far from Highway 29 and Wendover Avenue.
