With its snazzy grille, sleek shape, and V8 engine, the 1960 Pontiac Catalina was a beauty then and now. The aqua Catalina in the above photo was spotted in Greensboro a couple of weeks ago. We stopped by the Red Collection Consignment Furniture Store at the corner of Patterson Street and South Holden Road and this car stood out like a turquoise nugget in a sea of gravel. It had a classic car license plate and, the funny part was in the back windshield on the driver’s side– an of-the-same-vintage Gumby and Pokey were perched waving to onlookers. If you squint, you can see Gumby in all of his glory.
We’re sharing this photo with the Weekend Reflection folks. From the bumper to the hub caps to the hood to the windshield, this vehicle is one big, mobile reflection!
