Yesterday afternoon was a beautiful day for softball. The Guilford College Quakers had a double header against Shenandoah. The Quakers won their first game, but lost the second. The above photo features the team tidying up Haworth Field before the second game began. This field was built in 2003 and has continued to get enhancements (like that lovely scoreboard) over the years.

Their next home games will be against Randolph College on April 8th, again a double header.* Double headers are often played as a cost saving measure to cut down on travel expenses. Their season wraps up on April 25th. They are a fun team to watch and it is free. Every young girl playing softball in Greensboro should head out to watch a college fame. It is easy to start getting to know the players. Haworth Field is well maintained and the setting is lovely. It is on the New Garden Road side of campus.
