Guilford College UMC

Guilford College United Methodist Church held its first worship service July 12, 1959 in the Guilford College Student Union. We can’t find a date that the building was completed at 1205 Fleming Road. However, the above location houses the very active Guilford College UMC. This is a high visibility location at the point where Fleming, New Garden, and Ballinger Roads intersect. We were struck by the beauty of the new, green grass, and those low-lying clouds as the sun was setting. They almost look wavy.

GC UMC is a compound of a sanctuary, a fellowship hall, a preschool/children’s education building, and an adult education wing. In addition to church services and active church groups, this church houses a pre-school and after school program. Upcoming events include the ever famous Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 29th starting at 3:00 pm. It is BYOB (bring your own basket!). With all of the children why cycle through Sunday school, preschool, and afterschool, the Easter Egg Hunt is always well attended.

Enjoy your beautiful Sunday, regardless of whether you are spending it in Greensboro, NC, or elsewhere.
