The above photo was taken this evening on Pleasant Ridge Road, just off of Highway 68 North. We realized we hadn’t published a photo today when we saw the beauty of the cotton candy sky. The photo is an eastbound shot, so actually the sun was behind us.

The Pleasant Ridge Road area is changing quickly and this scene reminded us of this part of Guilford County from a few decades ago. The house on the left would have been way out on a country road back then. This long-standing road has everything from houses built in the early 20th century (and before) to an array of developments and industrial buildings today. These little slices of life get filed in our “then and now” category. We’ll check back in a few years.
