Architectural Salvage, Greensboro

We are a little embarrassed to admit that we hadn’t been to Architectural Salvage since it was located on Bellemeade, and that was about 10 years ago. In all, Architectural Salvage (RS) has ben open for about 20 years. We visited yesterday and were in awe of how much brighter the store was than we’d remember. The above photo is is Bill Dawkins who is the store manager and has worked there for about three years.

Bill, originally from Hartsville, S.C., retired from the textile and paper industries. Being retired, Bill loves working at Architectural Salvage. He is very personable and has mastered the art of balancing waiting on customers and letting customers ask for help as needed. Truthfully, we had no idea that AS has albums, nick sacks, signed-by-the-author books about Greensboro, wooden doors. door knobs, and more. Look how bright the check-out counter is. If you get a chance, stop by today and find something from Architectural Salvage that you can use in your house. It is for a fabulous cause. Even. better, donate something! located at 1028-B Huffman St. and open today from 9:00 a.m.- 3:-00 p.m.

Happy Saturday!
