This weekend, we were exploring the length of Ballinger Road and saw the Honda Aircraft Company near the intersection with Friendly Avenue. They established their world headquarters and production facility in Greensboro in 2006-2007 and build and service aircraft here. The first customer aircraft was delivered from here in 2015.

An online search tells us that Honda selected Greensboro because North Carolina has 1) a rich history in aviation (think Wright Brothers and Kitty Hawk), 2) a skilled workforce, 3) the airport infrastructure, 4) a good cost of living and climate, 5) a strategic location, and 6) industry partnerships. That is a pretty good list of reasons to select Greensboro. Our city can be proud of these selling points.
